Come join us for a special private HUSH@Community session this September to raise awareness for the Deaf community in Ukraine amidst the ongoing conflict as we celebrate the International Day of the Deaf. We are delighted that Her Excellency Ms Kateryna Zelenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Singapore will join us at the end of the Hush Experience to announce the funds raised by Singapore Red Cross in 2022 to support the Ukrainian Society for the Deaf (UTOG).
The highly-acclaimed 4-zone Hush Experience is a powerful and transformative journey where participants are led by our Deaf facilitators into a state of quietude and introspection. In silence we remember who we are, and who we are to each other. How can we bring the worlds of Hearing and Deaf together? How are we in Singapore connected with those who are suffering in Ukraine with the devastating effects of the war? How would the Deaf hear the warning siren? How could the Deaf be reached for rescue when they are under fallen rubble?

Your participation will contribute fully towards the efforts by UTOG to support the Deaf community in Ukraine. Our partner and fellow social enterprise, The Social Space, is also kindly opening their cafe space for this special private event for the HUSH community.
We invite you to come #HushforPeace so we together, in silence, develop a deeper understanding of the challenges and experiences of Deaf persons, especially for the Deaf people in Ukraine and other conflict areas.
