Some of the most meaningful stories are those told from the heart.

Join us for a storytelling session featuring Till the End of Time, a moving collection of 10 stories written by formerly incarcerated parents for their children. Written as part of New Life Stories' Family Strengthening Programme, each story is a heartfelt message of love, hope, and encouragement, reflecting the enduring bond between parent and child even through periods of separation.

In this session, children will have the opportunity to hear these stories read by the very authors who wrote them. More than a reading, it is an opportunity to witness the power of storytelling in preserving family connections, fostering empathy, and celebrating the resilience of the human spirit.

ABOUT NEW LIFE STORIES:

New Life Stories is a registered charity and IPC that supports children with incarcerated parents and their families to overcome complex challenges like trauma and separation. Through learning, reading, and emotional care initiatives, it ensures vulnerable children receive crucial developmental support and a fairer start to life.

Founded in 2014, the organization takes a holistic approach by strengthening caregivers at home and helping parents in prison rebuild relationships. By collaborating with sector partners, New Life Stories works to improve support systems and shape resilient family journeys across Singapore.

This workshop is part of The Good Weekend 2026 - a National Day weekend market created to celebrate the people, ideas, and small businesses shaping a more thoughtful Singapore.

Beyond the workshops, the weekend brings together local makers, social enterprises, independent brands, food vendors, and community groups who are using what they do to create impact in different ways - from supporting vulnerable communities to championing sustainability, local craft, and more conscious choices.

We hope you will take some time to explore the rest of the event, meet the people behind the booths, and discover how even the smallest choices can support something meaningful.
