A gentle pause in the middle of your day - where nature, touch, and mindfulness come together in a grounding botanical experience.

In this workshop by Yume 圆夢, participants are invited to explore the Japanese-inspired art of kokedama, reimagined through a therapeutic, sensory-led approach. Guided by an experienced facilitator, you will learn how plants can be shaped, wrapped, and bound into living sculptures that embody both balance and quiet beauty.

Rooted in horticultural therapy and Asian botanical traditions, this workshop is designed as an inclusive and restorative experience. No prior experience is required - whether you're drawn to plants, curious about therapeutic horticulture, or simply looking for a peaceful pause during a busy weekend, this workshop invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature through the art of kokedama making.

Proceeds from this workshop will directly support Yume 圆夢, a social enterprise registered under raiSE, in their efforts to empower individuals with special needs and support seniors through inclusive, therapeutic horticultural experiences.

This workshop is part of The Good Weekend 2026 - a National Day weekend market created to celebrate the people, ideas, and small businesses shaping a more thoughtful Singapore.

Beyond the workshops, the weekend brings together local makers, social enterprises, independent brands, food vendors, and community groups who are using what they do to create impact in different ways - from supporting vulnerable communities to championing sustainability, local craft, and more conscious choices.

We hope you will take some time to explore the rest of the event, meet the people behind the booths, and discover how even the smallest choices can support something meaningful.
