Tackle everyday washing and tougher kitchen messes with this dual-sided dishwashing sponge, combining naturally abrasive loofah with absorbent wood pulp cellulose. Stitched together with durable cotton thread and free from plastic and glue, it is designed for effective cleaning with less reliance on synthetic sponges.

This plant-based sponge is 100% biodegradable and compostable. The loofah side (brown fibre) can be used as a gentle scrub for your non-stick cookware, while the wood pulp cellulose side (white sponge) is suitable for everyday dishes. These sponges don’t collect bad odour and bacteria like other plastic sponges.

Every sponge is made and sewn with the least amount of chemicals, and this product REACH compliant, an EU "Safety Test" standard. Packed together in a set of 3 with a jute rope. You can cut and tie the jute rope to the brand tag as a hanging option (see photos).

HOW TO USE

• Use the loofah side (brown) for gentle scrubbing of suitable surfaces such as non-stick cookware and porcelain. It can help lift charred food, grease and other stubborn residue without scratching when used appropriately.

  Use the wood pulp cellulose side for everyday dishwashing, wiping and general cleaning. Add your preferred dishwashing liquid and water to create suds, then rinse thoroughly after use. This cellulose side will naturally harden when completely dry. Simply wet it again to soften it before use.

❗Do not use the sponge to clean raw egg or raw meat juices. The sponge material is flammable. Keep away from open flames and high sources of heat.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To keep your sponge clean and extend its lifespan, rinse it thoroughly after each use and allow it to dry completely in the open air. You may also sun-dry the sponge.

For a deeper clean:

• Bleach: Soak the sponge in a solution of 1 part bleach to 9 parts water for 2 minutes. Wring it out thoroughly and allow it to air dry.
• Vinegar: Soak the sponge in full-strength vinegar for 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and air dry.
• Dishwasher: Place the sponge on the top rack and run it through a dishwasher cycle.

Hygiene specialists recommend replacing kitchen sponges every 1–2 months. With regular care, this sponge can last up to 6 months, depending on frequency and intensity of use.

END OF LIFESPAN CARE

The sponge and its accompanying jute rope is biodegradable and compostable, allowing the natural fibres to break down without leaving plastic-based materials behind. Please dispose of the cloth in a recycling bin or compost facility
