The illustrations are lovingly created by a fellow Singaporean illustrator and calligrapher - Kristen Kiong. Kristen has a heart for projects that are meaningful and encourage people around her. She previously illustrated and published a children’s book called “I’ll Love You Anyway”!
Each purchase of the Activist book set will contribute to Awesome Women Series' initiative to support Inspiring Girls Singapore, a local charity organisation dedicated to raising the aspirations of girls aged 9 to 18 years old by connecting girls with female role models to help build their confidence and resilience.

ABOUT THE BRAND
The Awesome Women Series was created by local husband and wife team, Priscilla and Shawn Tan. Inspired by their daughters, Andrea (aka Monmon) and Aurelia (aka Momo), they wanted their little ones to grow up knowing that they can be anything they want to be. There are so many awesome female role models and they want to give Andrea and Aurelia their own take on their inspiring stories - focusing on their struggles, how they overcame them and their achievements. Through the Awesome Women Series, Priscilla and Shawn want to inspire today's girls to be tomorrow's role models!
One of the charities that they will be donating to is Room to Read, a global non-profit organization for improving literacy and gender equality in education in low-income communities around the world. Find out more about their programs here!
