ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jimmy lost his hearing as a toddler due to high fever but discovered a passion for drawing through self-learning. He is a strong advocate for the inclusion of persons with disabilities (PwDs) and actively supports the PwD dragon boat team, reflecting his commitment to empowering others through art and community.

ABOUT THE BRAND

The SPD Artisan Collaboration is an initiative under the SPD Sheltered Workshop that has provided employment and training opportunities for persons with disabilities since 1964. For over a decade, their team of craftspeople has brought their unique skills to creating artisanal journals and restoring old books, giving them a new lease of life. In addition to the book bindery, they have a succession of younger persons with disabilities being trained in leather-crafting, stitching together lifestyle products perfect as gifts for friends, loved ones, and corporate partners.
