Hush, a Silent TeaBar
Wellness and Inclusion, One Cup of Tea At a Time. Slow down, take a pause, and breathe.
HUSH is a social movement that champions self care, emotional literacy and empathy through the practice of silence and signs in schools, workplaces and communities, connecting the worlds of the hearing and the Deaf together. As part of their mission to practice and spread inclusive practices in communities, the core team at Hush is led entirely by the Deaf and persons with or in-recovery from mental health conditions, as a form of empowered employment
Each session is carefully crafted, and human-centrically designed to fit your needs, completed with natural elements to create a conducive experience. Join them on this journey of self-care, to take a pause, to breathe and reflect. Let us work together towards building an empathetic, resilient, and inclusive society. Be a champion of self-care and inclusion through this Silent TeaBar.
“ I made a conscious choice to engage fully with the community so as to contribute and learn about what makes us human. It's a real privilege and gift to be able to live each day in meaning and purpose, to receive with every giving and in receiving, I have more to give.
I'm especially inspired to bring disparate groups of people together for conversations that allow us to see the humanity that binds us, amid the differences. Decidedly passionate about empowerment and education because I believe that there can be no societal transformation without personal transformation. This inner change, I believe, has to come from a practice of silence and mindfulness. We must be the change we want to see in the world. ”
