Mei's Own
Mei means “little sister” in Mandarin, and their name is a play on the word Maison, or “house” in French, a beautiful reflection of care, home, and heart. Founded by Rebecca Eu, Mei’s Own is a purpose-driven lifestyle brand that collaborates with artisan communities in the Philippines to create consciously crafted homeware rooted in heritage.
Proceeds from their collection support sustainable livelihoods, access to education, tech tools, and long-term community care. Their impact is made possible through deep partnerships with local schools and organisations who share their mission of empowerment.
The work behind each piece may be challenging, but it’s led with compassion and commitment, and we’re honoured to share their story here at The Social Space.
" What started as a volunteer effort eventually turned into a small social enterprise project to better support survivors of sex trafficking and artisans I work with.
I work with talented and capable individuals. Together, we want to help you fill your home with beautiful things. I hope these pieces bring you as much joy in owning them as it has given me in their creation.
