Lift your spirits with Iryasa's Lemongrass essential oil to calm your mind, reduce stress and depression. Lemongrass acts as a powerful deodorant and an insect repellent, protecting humans and animals from fleas, ticks and lice. It is rich in antiseptic properties, and provides shine to the hair when added to shampoos. When added to a massage oil blend, it improves blood circulation, helps eliminate lactic acid accumulation, soothes muscular aches and joint pains.

All Iryasa Essential Oils are 100% pure, therapeutic and mindfully produced in small batches to ensure freshness and efficacy. Their oils are manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015, WHO GMP, HACCP, HALAL certified facility, and undergo robust QC and testing (GC/MS) to ensure purity & potency. The ingredient(s) are sourced from farms that practice sustainable agriculture and fair wages, and the USDA organic certification demonstrates Iryasa's commitment to creating positive impact for our planet, due to conservation of biodiversity in the natural landscapes and their ecosystems.

This oil is packaged in a patented biophotonic glass that helps protect, prolong and revitalise the efficacy of the products.

For Aromatherapy

Add about 4-5 drops of Iryasa Lemongrass oil for every 100ml (3.3 fl.oz) water in a diffuser. The herby, citrusy scent of this medicinal grass helps purify the air and remove bad odours, while reducing tension & uplifting your mood.

You may need to increase/decrease the number of drops depending on the size of the room and where your diffuser is kept. For instance, you'd probably need less number of drops for a smaller or less ventilated room. Since the intensity of scents are such a personal preference, we recommend that you start with less and work your way up as needed.

For Topical Application

When Lemongrass oil is applied topically, it cleanses the skin and helps repel mosquitoes & sandflies.

Dilute 4 drops of 100% pure Lemongrass oil in 15ml (0.5 fl.oz) of Sweet Almond oil or any other suitable carrier oil to make a 1% dilution.

Why does Lemongrass smell citrusy?

The main chemical constituent in Lemongrass are aldehydes. Aldehydes are responsible for the citrusy scent in Lemongrass. It is also what makes Lemongrass calming and anti-inflammatory, whose effects are best experienced when diluted with carrier oils at low concentrations (1% dilution or less).

How did Lemongrass get its name?

Lemongrass is a tropical, perennial plant with fleshy white stems that are used widely in Southeast Asian cuisine. The name ‘lemongrass’ is derived from the typical citrusy ‘lemon-like’ scent of the essential oil. The leaves of this plant look more like ‘grass’, hence the name ‘lemongrass’.

Why is Lemongrass also known as the ‘Fever grass’?

Lemongrass has the ability to reduce body temperature and therefore, called ‘fever grass’ in some cultures. The leaves of this plant also make ‘fever tea’ that is commonly used to reduce high body temperatures, eliminate harmful bacteria and strengthen the body during convalescence.
