Join us for a reflective Hush@Community gathering on Saturday, 31st August 2024. In this in-person session, we'll delve into the themes of environmental awareness and the integral role of nurturing figures. Through interactive activities and mindful discussions in a shared physical space, we'll explore our connections with nature and the guiding influences in our lives. This session offers a chance to engage with the community, share stories, and gain new perspectives on the nurturing aspects of both our environment and our relationships.
HUSH TeaBar is a social movement that champions mental well-being, empathy and social inclusion through a unique tea experience of silence, sign language, tea art and sharing that gives us the much-needed pause amidst our daily hustle and bustle. More so now with the dizzying pace of technology, with mounting challenges of an uncertain and volatile world.
Since 2014, their core team of Deaf persons, persons with lived experience in mental health, including those still in recovery and allies have staged over 500 Hush Experience sessions for more than 20,000 participants at workplaces, schools and communities in Singapore. Together, they aim to build a compassionate, resilient and inclusive society - one cup of tea at a time.
What to expect of the highly-acclaimed 4-zone Hush Experience?
- You will learn to sign emotions and mindfulness breathing techniques from our Deaf facilitators
- You will learn to drink your tea slowly with our guided TeaRitual
- You will experience a therapeutic art expression using tea ink
- You will share your reflections in a group and connect with each other in a human-centred manner
So come take a pause to listen to and learn from each other. Let our Deaf facilitator guide you through a journey of self-discovery, and listen to your heart speak as you uncover new awareness. In silence, we remember who we are - and who we are to each other.
The more we advance in technology, the more we must connect with our humanity and support our well-being. Join us to give yourself this well-deserved 'mental vacation' and also support our movement so we can keep HUSH going and growing.
Your participation will encourage more Deaf persons and persons-in-recovery from mental health conditions, and volunteers who are allies, to join our movement.
