Looking back, I’m really thankful that this was my first internship. I didn’t just learn how to edit videos, handle stock, or manage tasks - I learned how to work with people. I got to see what it’s like to be part of a team that values purpose, kindness, and people.
As an introvert, initiating conversations has always been a challenge for me. Looking back, I felt so grateful to have met such a wonderful group of people. The community at TSS embraces diversity without judgment and consistently supports one another.
I genuinely feel that this café is delivering more than simply coffee and food; they are also providing hope, opportunity, and a brighter future for people in need.
More than just a safe space of acceptance, The Social Space was a place where they believed that everyone is much more than their limitations or the things that they struggle with. I applied for an internship in a bid to break free from anxiety and depression. This is how working at The Social Space changed me.
The Good Weekend reminded us that a market can be so much more. It can be a meeting point for art, culture, and purpose. It can be a space where strangers leave as friends, where people walk away a little more inspired and ready to make a difference. 🌍
